Invisible Monsters
by
Chuck Palahniuk

I'll
admit, I was kind of nervous to read this book. I'd heard a lot of
negativity about the author, and that he was too "grotesque". Well,
I love when books are "grotesque"! Haha :)
This book was wonderful. About a model who gets shot in the face
(ow) and gets a surgery to have a new jaw. She can no longer speak,
and is still pressured by the modeling world. This novel is great,
and takes you along on the journey of Shannon and her "frenemies"
in the literally cutthroat lives of models.
Catching Fire
by
Suzanne Collins

This
book blew my mind. Like, really. My brain exploded.
Catching
Fire officially releases on September 1st. We picked it up early at
Book Expo America in New York, and I'm so glad we did! It was so
amazing, so detailed, so heartbreaking; I couldn't get
enough.
I know that it may be hard to believe, but this book may be even
better than the original Hunger Games. It was just so amazing in
every way.
Haha, I'll stop talking about how amazing it is now.
MAX
by James Patterson
EPIC.
This book is a gazillion times better than The Final Warning in
epically epic proportions. Ahh, this book satisfied me in so many
ways.
Romance, kick-butt fight scenes, Angel being really friggin' cute
and amazing, The Gasman and Ig
being devious little buggers, and ROMANCE between the two loveliest
lovebirds in the world :)
This book made me so friggin' happy, I couldn't stop grinning! It's
a keeper!
If you gave up on The Flock after The Final Warning, I will
personally come and kick your stupid butt, because
you're stupid for missing out on such an amazing book.
Kthxbai.
Tweak
by Nic Sheff
This book is really great, kind of disturbing at times. It's about
Nic's journey through drugs, it makes me cringe at the lengths he
will go to to get a high. I am never, ever going to do drugs,
thanks to this book. It's really taught me a lesson. Everyone my
age should read it. Despite the graphic descriptions, it really
shows the effects of drugs.
Amazing.
The
Mist
I've listened to the dramatization of
this book so many times, and it never gets old. I highly recommend
the audio (though the book is very good), I just love hearing the
screams and gunshots in the background.
Does that make me a creeper?
Eh. Who cares? Great audio :)
Maximum
Ride manga vol. 1
by
James Patterson and NaRae Lee
Pretty friggin amazing. Although the pictures weren't exactly like
I pictured the characters, I really liked it.
This artist is spectacular, I'd love to see more of the
series!
Being
by Kevin Brooks
This book is amazing, gross, but amazing. There's a few parts of
the book where I said, "ewww, yucky!" but the greatness of this
book made up for the gross bits.
I recommend it for anyone with a strong stomach :)
Mousetrap:
Memoir of a Disneyland Cast Member
by
Kevin Yee
If any of you know me, you'll know that I'm Disney obsessed. Which
is why I read this book! I plan to be a Disney cast member myself,
so this book was really great!
Loved it :)
The
Hunger Games
by
Suzanne Collins
Okay, this book is AMAZING.
My mom read it, and wouldn't stop talking about it, so I figured I
should give it a try. Aaand it really was spectacular! I recommend
it to everyone, it's that good!
It's pretty funny, that my family gave up a trip to CHINA so that
we could go to Book Expo America, the biggest booksellers
convention in the world!
Guess what's going to be at this convention...?
THE SEQUEL TO THE HUNGER GAMES.
Be jealous.

Okay.
Another manga.

It’s actually pretty cool!
This is about a boy, who finds a book.
When you write a name in the book, that person dies.
So yeah.
Very nice!!!

Mark Crilley
This is a manga book, otherwise known as comics.
But better.
It’s a series of four, and it’s AMAZING.
It’s about love and action :)
Really great!
Bonechiller

I LOVED THIS. It’s super scary.. I was literally frightened.
That doesn’t happen much with me.

The
Lighting Thief Series (Percy Jackson and the
Olympians)
by
Rick Riordan
This series is UBER GOOD.
This series is about demigods (kids who have a parent that is a
god/goddess), and it is REALLY gooooood. I recommend this book
for.... everyone, haha.
I've actually become very fond of Greek Mythology through these
books, I think I will study this in school.
READ THIS SERIES.
NOWW.
Flowers for Algernon
by Daniel Penske

I reeeally liked this book. (Excuse my large amount of e’s.)
You should read it, even though it's a classic.
I know, I know, classics stink. Well, most of them anyway. But this
one is really good. It's written in the point of view of a
mentally-retarded man, but he gets a surgery done to be
"smart".
SO GOOD.
A Wrinkle In Time
by Madeline L'Engle

This is another classic, but a good one! I know, I think everything
is good. Well, not really. But this one is actually SUPER
GOOD.
The language is a little funny ("Oh nuts!", "Yippee!", "Good
Golly!" and more!).
I really liked this, The cover may be creepy, but the book is..
maggggnifffficent!

Gooood
book! This is about Julie, who has horrible, gruesome nightmares
about her parents fighting and almost killing her! Julie decides to
go into her own mind and take care of this herself!
GRRRRREAT!
The Harry Potter Series
by
JK Rowling
Harry
Potter is the epitome of fantastic books.
Like, oh my god. So much greatness.
GAH!
Fast Food Nation
by
Eric Schlosser

This
is quite the convincing book. I can't exactly tell if I liked it or
not. Only on page 120, in the chapter "Meat and Potatoes" does it
tell you something completely shocking. On the top of this page it
tells you how McDonald's gets it's french fries to taste so good:
It said that the oil it they cook the fries in is 7% cottonseed oil
and 93% beef tallow.
Yeah, that doesn't sound too yummy now does it? And that
surprisingly gives the fries their unique flavor McDonald's is
famous for - and more saturated beef fat than a McDonald's
hamburger.
Mmm...That's just delicious.... I LOVED THIS
BOOK!
The Maximum Ride Series
by
James Patterson
I
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS SERIES! This is a rewritten version of the
adult book When The Wind Blows by James Patterson. I definitely
recommend this book to anybody! By the way, I read the first book
in two days! Wow! I'd sure like a signed copy of this book! Hint,
hint to James!
The
Kingdom Keepers
by
Ridley Pearson

This
is a GREAT book. Especially for a Disney movie lover, like me. It's
great for a genre I don't normally read. It is a cross between
Sci-Fi, and Fantasy And yet I still loved it and recommended it to
all of my good friends.
I LOVED THIS BOOK A LOT! Ridley Pearson did a great job on this
one, can't wait for the sequel!
Green
Book
by
Jill Paton Walsh

My
fifth grade teacher Mrs. Gehrig read this to our class as our last
book of the year (I think ). It's very much Sci-Fi, and very much
fantastic. my mom also read it, and she loved it a lot too, she
read it in about ten minutes, it took me half an hour. I love it!
By the way, it's a short story. We don't read that
fast!
The Book Thief
By
Markus Zusak

I
read this book for a book report in my 6th grade reading class,
Everyone had to find a Historical Fiction book and read it in the
time we had that quarter. This was a REALLY GREAT book. It is based
during World War II In Nazi, Germany, narrated by death. That made
it really interesting! Markus Zusak made Death have a totally
different point of view. I loved this book!
The City of Ember Series
By
Jeanne DuPrau

I
LOVED THIS SERIES!!! This series is sort of Post-Apocalyptic, but
it gives you a completely different point of view.
If I tell you about the book, I’ll give it all away because
every detail matters. I LOVED IT!
